Celebrating Musical Heritage Since 1925
Founded by musicians, for musicians, we’ve been focused on music for music’s sake for over 90 years.
Welcome to the Fall River Symphony Orchestra, a beacon of orchestral artistry and musical heritage in Fall River, MA. Our orchestra has been a proud part of the community for nearly a century, bringing the joy of music to audiences since our founding in 1925.
Our Journey
We began as the Fall River Orchestral Club under the leadership of Julio Cardoza, a distinguished musician from the University of Lisbon. Starting with a modest ensemble of 15 passionate members, we have grown into a vibrant orchestra of around 55 talented musicians. Our members range from professional musicians to dedicated amateurs, all united by a love for orchestral music.
Our Mission
The Fall River Symphony Orchestra is committed to enriching the cultural landscape of our community through the power of music. We strive to provide performance opportunities for local musicians and present a diverse repertoire of classical and popular music concerts.
Engaging the Community
We believe in music’s ability to bring people together, which is why community engagement is at the core of our mission. From educational musical heritage programs to collaborative events, we aim to inspire and nurture a love for music in individuals of all ages.
Be Part of Our Story
As we continue to write our symphony of history, we invite you to be a part of our story. Whether you’re a musician looking to join our ranks or an orchestral music lover eager to experience our next concert, we welcome you with open arms. Get in touch, stay connected, and let’s make music together.
